Their Story

Mom and Dad's story as recorded in their wedding book:

     We met July 23, 1959, at Bear Lake
     Our first date was on a Saturday around the first of November.  We went to Andy's to eat, for a ride, and then to a Stake Dance.
     The next time we were together was a Saturday in Elko where chorus had gone to sing.
     Our third was at a Thursday night dance when Jerry asked to take me home (this was November 27) and asked me to go bowling the next night.  I did.
     The next Sunday he went with me while Symphonic sang.
     After this we were together quite often, then he left for Cody.
     He called, came home, we wrote, he sent flowers.
     He proposed on February 19, 1960.  I got my ring February 27, 1960.  We were married on July 15, 1960.
