1969 and Documentation Confusion

First, I have to say that the last photo from 1968, the one of Grandma and Mom in their robes, may be labeled wrong.  I found a copy of the same shot and it is labeled 1969, so, who knows.

I had to really mess around with this photo so you could see that Mark was there.  See him on the floor?  From the back of the picture:  Not feeling well-Washington's Birthday   Feb. 22, 1969   Ages 4 & 7                                                    Stacey sleeping       Mark never.

I love this picture for lots of reasons:  Mark's rolled up jeans, Grandpa's truck with a black licence plate, the cowgirl outfit on Stacey that my own kids have worn for Halloween.  So awesome.  This was taken in May of 1969 for Western Day at Spring Lane.

From the back:  Decorated with pink, yellow and blue bathroom tissue.  Thursday July 17, 1967  Does anyone remember the occasion for the TPing?  How about some specifications on the car in the garage?

Let's do some portraits now...

OUCH!  Slipped on the ice on the way to school. (Kindergarten)
Our beautiful mom.  Was this a teacher picture?

There is no label for this shot.  I'm wondering if it might be Mark's first time at Cub Scouts, or something like that.  Also, I'm not sure what door this is.  Anyone?

Now let's look at some pictures of a major historical event as seen on TV...

Man on the moon!
July 20, 1969

President Nixon speaking to astronauts.
The white rectangle you see is the American flag.

And a minor historical event...

This is Captain Scotty--a TV show Mark was on.

Here is another bit of documenting confusion.

This is Stacey's 5th birthday at Sugar House Park.  Stacey, maybe you can identify your friends and what you are opening.

And this is Stacey's 5th birthday at the cabin.
Maybe the party at the park was on the way to the cabin?  Busy, busy!  On another note, was this the original fire pit?  Actually, I'm not sure this is even a pit.  Give us some details Mom and Dad.  Notice barefoot Stacey.  I am surprised our worrying mom let Stacey get that close to the fire without shoes!

More Thistle Dew goodness.
I love, love Mark and Stacey on the front of the paddle boats.
Go Mom!  Go Grandma!
And this is obviously Smokey the Bear.  The back says this was taken
on the way home from the cabin.  Any more details?
Notice barefoot Stacey.
I am surprised our worrying mom let Stacey
get that close to a bear without shoes!   Ha ha.

And finally, a shot that epitomizes Christmastime in Utah.

Merry Christmas!
Don't you just want to sing Jingle Bells when you see this picture?
The lights, the decorations, the snow, the warmly bundled children!
Ahh, I love Christmas time.
Whatcha holding Mark?

I am totally thinking this was taken the same day as the robe shot with Grandma and Mom.  So really, who knows if this is 1969.  Or Christmas.  :)

Can't wait for the 70's!
