Sheba

I had a memory as we were eating lunch today.  Do you remember that Sheba would eat (well lick) our cantaloupe rinds?  We've tried offering them to Ginger and Freckles but there is no interest.  I wonder what Sheba liked about them?

I totally remember those couches and that green carpet!

Nothing quite as exhilarating as giving a cat a bath!

Any favorite Sheba memories out there?

  1. I remember we got Sheba when Stacey was six. Cats are not my favorite thing. Dogs. I like dogs. But I did come to like Sheba. She thought she was the cock of the walk. She really lived up to her bred. I also remember when she became ill in her very old age, neither your dad or I would/could take her to be put "away". "You do it." "I can't." "You do it". This went on so long that she died in Stacey's arms downstairs while we were at Graham's for study group. She called us up at Graham's and we went home. :(
    We never did that again.

Mark, can't you find three minutes to comment on these pictures and also let LeeAnn know if your
okay with her putting some fun photos on this blog. Even if we don't love them all. So far I think she's done a great job and I'm loving it.

Look at the bloggers in this family. Lee with this one, Stacey with her Have Fun Be Good and
Jeff's and Anne with Eric's. What talent we have in our family. Have I missed any?

  3. Mom, you are so nice to defend me. Anne talked to me today though and told me she and Mark had talked and they are good with whatever pictures I put up.

I totally remember when Sheba died. Stacey wouldn't let me come down stairs. It wasn't good. But Sheba did live a good, long, and loved life. Boyd and I unfortunately were the same way with Ginger. We probably should have put her down 2-3 years before she died. It is just so hard!

  4. Why on earth are we giving a cat a bath?

  5. I don't really know. We've never washed Freckles, but Ginger probably got a bath 5 or so times in her life. I really think we thought cat washing was an occasional necessity.
